About cBrain - The Process Company


cBrain developes software for business process management and knowledge management, with focus on the area of eGovernment.

cBrain A/S was founded in 2002, and listed at Nasdaq/OMX Copenhagen in 2006. cBrain is a process innovation and software development house which provides IT-solutions to optimize customers’ processes and workflows.

Since the foundation of the company, we have been intensively engaged in digital process management solutions like Electronic Case and Document Management systems
.

The company has since its inception had a constant growth in turnover and a positive net result. These results are due to cBrains innovative approach to process optimization and software development together with our passion for software.

New approach to design and technology

cBrain challenges traditional IT development by innovative design and development methodology as cBrain designs software directly based on the customer's business processes and user roles. cBrain call this method "process-based" design.

Technologically, cBrain solutions are based on components (building blocks), known as service architecture (SOA). cBrain is a Certified Microsoft Partner and has always been based on a Microsoft .Net platform. cBrain was one of the first software houses in Denmark, which began to develop software based on an SOA architecture. This has given cBrain several years of experience in component-based solutions (Composite Applications).

cBrain design and development method gives the company a number of significant competitive advantage because we can develop software solutions faster and cheaper, and we can deliver solutions that better covers the customer's needs and supports users' business tasks.

Two business areas

Overall cBrain has to main business area:

  •      Individual solutions build on cBrains Process Platform
         (the software component library)
  •      Standard product like cBrains concept on “The Knowledge Workers Desktop”
         named cBrain F2.


In the area of customized solutions, cBrain services approx. 50 customers. We have particularly delivered major solutions for member unions, political parties, voluntary organizations etc. These solutions have helped to innovate and optimize our customers’ administrative and communication processes. In recent years, specially developed solutions in the areas of eGovernment like digitalized Case Management and Electronic Meeting Booking Solutions also come into focus within this business.

In the product area, cBrain has introduced "The Knowledge Worker Desktop". This is a product line targeted at knowledge workers in both public and private organizations.

The Knowledge Worker Desktop brings all the features that a typical knowledge worker needs, in one integrated solution. This allows for significant increase of the knowledge worker productivity.

cBrain has also announced  “The case worker's desktop", also called cBrain F2. This product has successfully replaced more traditional Case Processing and Document Management Solutions in Danish Central Administation. cBrain F2 effectively supports process collaboration and thereby digitizing all the internal administrative work within a governmental organization.

Still more focus on digital management

Major benefits can be harvested in the governmental sector through digitization and efficiency of case process flows. Meanwhile, the Danish Government, in connection with its globalization strategy, set a target of full electronic communications in the year 2012, often called the "e2012". A prerequisite to achieving the e2012 target include full digitization of internal case flows. cBrain has intensified its focus on eGovernment based on the concept of the knowledge workers desktop.
