cBrain was founded in 2002 with the aim of developing software tools for improving white collar productivity for project based organizations.

Structured information. i.e.timesheets, invoices, receivables, payables, general ledger, inventory, etc. has been managed by ERP systems since the 1990s.

Unstructured information has not had the same attention until now with the emergence of Social Media tools and their use inside public and private organizations driven by knowledge workers trying to fill a need for easy knowledge sharing.

Social Media tools for use inside public and private organizations have come to be known as Enterprise 2.0 tools.

These tools are evolving to fulfill the need for knowledge sharing, white collar productivity improvements AND at the same time adhering to various business segment specific regulatory requirements like FRCP, Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, etc.

Integration to existing legacy systems is becoming a must as organizations try to adapt to the emergence of the Enterprise 2.0 environment. This new integrated business environment for process solutions is cBrain's focus - we call it the "Knowledge Worker Desktop".

Innovation in design and development methodology
cBrain challenges the traditional way of developing IT systems by applying cBrain's "Innovative Room" and "Outside-IN" methodology to develop solutions. People and processes is always the starting point when constructing the solutions supporting people in getting their work done.

Increased white collar productivity follows as a result of supporting each organizations real business processes and critical success factors instead of having people adapting to a "parameterized" standard system. This has been made possible by applying new component architecture technologies and WEB services.

The cBrain solutions are based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) where solutions are build from a library of software components.

The SOA approach enables cBrain to compose solutions to the exact need of an organization and reuse components for different vertical solutions.

cBrain’s customers are primarily within 3 areas: Government, Membership Organizations and Consulting Firms.
