Increased user satisfaction, shorter case processing times, and a net saving of 12-14 million Danish Kroner per year.

These were the headline outcomes achieved by the Danish State Administration from their project to transform handling of 'Family Life Events', which was awarded the Judges Special Prize at the National Digitisation Awards hosted by the Danish IT Association on 22nd March in Aarhus.

The Family Life Events project is designed to better support families in their contacts with public sector organisations during major life events such as divorce or adoption.  There are over 180,000 such cases a year, and the solution, which is based on cBrain's F2 software, was designed to improve citizen services and understand citizens needs in complex situations.

This is the second time that a project based on F2 has won the Digitisation Award. In 2011 the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry for Climate and Energy jointly won an award for their efficiency improvements after having implemented F2 in their ministerial departments.

With more than 50 public sector customers in 4 countries, F2 provides a standard platform for government processing that can be configured quickly to meet individual process requirements. cBrain supported the State Administration with an agile implementation process and a starting point of focusing on user needs. The project was up and running in 6 months, in contrast to the extended project lifecycles seen in traditional Big IT projects.
