cBrain to Attend 2023 UN Water Conference, Commits to Water Action Agenda

cBrain, a leading provider of digital governance solutions, announced today that it will attend the 2023 UN Water Conference at the UN Headquarters in New York from 22-24 March 2023. The conference, co-hosted by Tajikistan and the Netherlands, will open on World Water Day with the aim of creating a bold Water Action Agenda to address the global water crisis and support the Sustainable Development Goals.

During the conference, cBrain will co-host a high-level roundtable discussion on Digital Water Governance on March 23, 8:00-10:00 am EST, with the Consul-General of Denmark to follow up on progress towards achieving SDG 6.

Water is essential for the Sustainable Development Goals and the health and prosperity of people and the planet. However, the world's progress towards water-related goals remains alarmingly off-track, putting the entire sustainable development agenda at risk.

"The UN 2023 Water Conference in March must result in a bold Water Action Agenda that gives our world's lifeblood the commitment it deserves," said António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations.

cBrain is proud to announce its commitment to the Water Action Agenda and will model leadership in action by donating its groundbreaking blueprint for digital water governance, developed in partnership with The Danish Environmental Protection Agency. This donation will enable governments around the world to increase their agility and accelerate their actions toward providing clean water and sanitation (SDG 6) to their people by incorporating the same best practices as those used by Denmark’s water regulator.

The blueprints for digital water governance will enable governments to fast-track environmental permitting, carry out efficient wastewater inspections, and provide full-circle grant management for the protection of water resources.

"The fight for clean water and sanitation is driven and funded by governments, and many initiatives are suffering from bureaucratic delays, administrative burdens, and outdated ICT. By donating the blueprints for digital water governance, we offer an avenue for accelerated action for any government willing to adapt best practices from one of the most successful water regulators in the world," said cBrain Head of Climate and Sustainability, Morten Østergaard.

Included in the donation is an offer from cBrain to partner with governments that wish to have the Danish best practice blueprints adapted to their own regulatory environment.

cBrain looks forward to participating in the 2023 UN Water Conference and working with governments to advance the sustainable development goals and implement proven best practices for the benefit of their people.
